Psst! Veniti putin mai aproape ca avem de facut o marturisire. Ne place sa mancam. Nu mult, dar bun. Termenul este pompos si rar il poti folosi in contextul nuntilor din Romania, dar suntem gourmet. Cand nu mancam pufuleti, intelegem ca mancarea poate fi o forma de exprimare artistica, capabila nu doar sa satisfaca nevoia primara ci sa se transforme intr-o experienta vizuala si senzoriala.

In decursul timpului am avut ocazia de a vizita diferite localuri de nunti garantate de bucatari care ne-au creat asteptarea unui standard ridicat deoarece apar des in media. Nu de putine ori am fost dezamagiti. Nu doar ca nu era o placere ceea ce ni se servea, ci era chiar de o calitate indoielnica dupa orice standard.

Dar suficient cu lamentarile! In cazul nuntii lui Mihai si a Danielei, papilele noastre au organizat un festival al gustului fara sa ne dea de stire. Tema mancarii a fost “padurea”, asa ca fiecare fel de mancare a continut cel putin un ingredient preluat cu grija de acolo.

The term is emphatic and rarely you can use it in the context of weddings in Romania, but we are gourmet. When we don’t eat corn puffs, we understand that food can be a form of artistic expression, able not only to satisfy the primary need, but to transform into a visual and sensorial experience.

Over the years, we had the opportunity to visit various weddings venues that have created the expectation of a high standard, because they often appear in the media. We were often disappointed. Not only was it not a pleasure what was served to us, but it was even a questionable quality of any standard.

But enough with the lamentations! In the case of Mihai and Daniela’s wedding, our taste buds organized a festival of taste without letting us know. The theme of the food was the “forest”, so each dish contained at least one ingredient carefully taken from there.
