Cand am aflat ca Taylor este din Wisconsin, m-am uitat catre Dragos si am zambit amandoi cu subinteles. Era ca si cum am fi fost vecini in copilarie, prin intermediul desenelor noastre preferate, “Viata cu Louie”. Si noi am mers la meciurile Packers sau in vacanta la lacul Winnibigoshish. Dar destul cu incursiunile nostalgice in copilarie. Sutem adulti deja si ne place sa ne inconjuram de oameni veseli.
Ei sunt Alex si Taylor.
Lui Alex ii place sa faca shopping de antichitati, sa colectioneze monede, sa scoata penele din perne si sa faca gratar din orice. Nu ii place atunci cand la iesirile de pe autostrada sunt indicatoare catre restaurante sau benzinarii care se afla la mai mult de o mila distanta.
Lui Taylor ii place cand Alex ii pregateste micul dejun si cafeaua in fiecare dimineata, sa doarma cu susul in jos in pat atunci cand are insomnii (sau cand sforaie Alex) si isi flutura bratele deasupra capului atunci cand este entuziasmata. Nu-i place cand Alex asteapta pana in ultima clipa sa se pregateasca sa iasa din casa.

When we found out that Taylor is from Wisconsin, I looked at Dragos and we bothed smiled with subtlety. It was like we’ve been childhood neighbours, through our favorite cartoons, “Life with Louie”. We’ve also been to Packers matches or on a holiday at the Winnibigoshish lake. But enough with the childhood nostalgia. We’re already adults and we like to be surrounded by cheerful people.
They are Alex and Taylor.
Alex likes antique shopping and collecting coins, plucking the feathers out of pillows and grilling anything and everything. He hates when highway exits advertise restaurants or gas stations that are more than 1 mile away and going to the doctor, even when all signs point to a broken bone.
Taylor loves when Alex makes her breakfast and coffee every morning, sleeping upside down in bed when she can’t sleep (or Alex is snoring) and waving her arms above her head when excited. She doesn’t like when Alex waits until the last minute to get ready to leave the house.
